Personal Practice & Sacred Facilitation Training with Hapé

A 12-week journey into right relationship with hapé, from personal practice to responsible facilitation.

This program is designed for those who feel called to work with this medicine with integrity, respect, and deep presence.

Together we will explore the history, philosophy, technique, and ethics of working with hapé, while building a grounded personal relationship with the medicine.

Whether you are feeling called to cultivate a personal practice or to learn how to serve hapé for others, this program offers a grounded path rooted in respect, intention, and integrity.

Why This Container Exists

Hapé is a sacred medicine traditionally used by Indigenous tribes of the Amazon for grounding, prayer, and energetic clearing. In recent years it has become increasingly popular in wellness and spiritual communities around the world.

While this growing interest has introduced so many people to the medicine, it has also led to situations where hapé is used without proper understanding, preparation, or respect for the traditions that carry it.

This training was created to offer a path rooted in integrity, knowledge, and awareness.

Rather than approaching hapé as a trend or a tool, this program focuses on developing a respectful relationship with the medicine, understanding its cultural context, and learning how to work with it responsibly.

Through education, personal practice, and ceremony, students are invited to deepen their awareness of both the medicine and themselves.

This training is offered in two parts so you can choose the level of depth that feels right for you.

You may join for Part 1 only, which focuses on personal practice, or continue into the full training, which includes facilitation skills for serving others.

Part 1: Foundations of Personal Practice (4 weeks virtually)

This portion of the program is dedicated to building a respectful personal relationship with hapé.

Topics include:

• the cultural and ceremonial roots of hapé
• the spirit of mapacho tobacco
• animism and plant medicine philosophy
• sacred use vs spiritual consumerism
• how to self-serve using a kuripe
• preparing ceremonial space
• intention, prayer, and gratitude
• posture, breath, and nervous system awareness
• working through discomfort and emotional release
• creating a personal hapé ritual

You will receive 4 live online teaching sessions, recordings of the sessions, 1x private session with Ania, reflection prompts, integration exercises, a private group chat for community support.

Students will practice self-serving and integration exercises throughout the program.

Part 2: Sacred Facilitation Training (8 weeks virtually & in person)

Students who feel called may continue into the second half of the training, where we explore serving hapé to others responsibly and ethically.

Topics include:

• the role and responsibility of a facilitator
• informed consent and participant preparation
• proper use of the tepi applicator
• dosage awareness and nervous system regulation
• trauma-informed facilitation
• supporting emotional release and purging
• holding group ceremonial space
• ethics and integrity in plant medicine work
• designing and leading hapé ceremonies

You will receive 4 additional live teaching sessions focused on facilitation, ethics, and trauma-informed support, 4 supervised ceremonies where you practice serving hapé to others, 3 ethically sourced hapé blends, reflection prompts, integration exercises, 2× 1:1 sessions with Ania, personalized guidance and feedback, and ongoing community support.

Ania is one of the best facilitators/guides I've ever worked with! She knows her SHIT, and has so much respect for the medicine and the culture/traditions these practices are coming from. Ania feels like such a safe space and I trust her to help me work through challenging emotions/situations/breakthroughs. It's like she knows exactly what I need before I do sometimes. I would highlyyyyy recommend hiring Ania in any capacity that you're able to. Your life will never be the same.

What makes this training different?

Many Western plant medicine trainings focus primarily on technique, while Indigenous traditions place greater emphasis on relationship with the medicine itself. Both perspectives carry valuable wisdom, but they are rarely taught together.

In this training, we bring those elements into balance.

Students will learn the practical skills needed to work with hapé safely, while also cultivating a deeper understanding of the medicine, the traditions that carry it, and the responsibility that comes with working in ceremonial spaces.

This program emphasizes something deeper than technique alone: relationship and responsibility.

You will learn not only how to work with hapé, but also:

• how to approach the medicine with respect and humility
• how to develop a grounded and intentional ceremonial practice
• how to listen to the medicine rather than trying to control the experience
• how to hold space for others with care, presence, and integrity
• how to recognize the limits of your role as a facilitator
• how to navigate the ethical responsibilities that come with serving plant medicines

Throughout the program we explore what it means to work with hapé in right relationship; with the medicine, with the traditions that carry it, with the people we serve, and with ourselves.

The goal is not simply to teach a skill, but to cultivate conscious stewards of the medicine who approach this work with awareness, humility, and care.

About your guide:

Hiii friends, my name is Ania! I have been serving hapé for over 5 years, working with the medicine in both personal practice and ceremonial settings. My training is a blend of learning from Indigenous Amazonian elders and Western teachers, which has given me a perspective that honors the traditional ways of serving while also incorporating modern, trauma-informed facilitation techniques.

As a white woman serving this medicine, it is of the utmost importance to me to work in reciprocity with the medicines, the tribes, and the land. I have been given permission by elders of the medicine to serve, and the biggest pillars of my ceremonies are honoring the roots of the medicine and holding space with integrity and respect.

Over the years, I’ve focused on developing responsible, conscious, and ethical practices around hapé; from understanding the spirit of the medicine to holding safe, supportive spaces for participants. My approach combines respect for Indigenous traditions with a grounding in Western understanding of nervous systems, trauma, and integration, so that both personal and ceremonial experiences are approached with care, integrity, and presence.

I created this training to share what I’ve learned and to guide others in building a deeper, more conscious relationship with hapé, whether in personal practice or as facilitators for others.

This container is NOT a “certification”. There are no certifications in the jungle. Instead, this is a space to learn, explore, and embody conscious practice. To deepen your personal relationship with hapé, develop your own ritual, and, if you choose, grow the skills and awareness needed to hold space for others responsibly. My goal is to guide you in becoming a thoughtful steward of the medicine, not just someone who is chasing a title.
