Why This Container Exists
Hapé is a sacred medicine traditionally used by Indigenous tribes of the Amazon for grounding, prayer, and energetic clearing. In recent years it has become increasingly popular in wellness and spiritual communities around the world.
While this growing interest has introduced so many people to the medicine, it has also led to situations where hapé is used without proper understanding, preparation, or respect for the traditions that carry it.
This training was created to offer a path rooted in integrity, knowledge, and awareness.
Rather than approaching hapé as a trend or a tool, this program focuses on developing a respectful relationship with the medicine, understanding its cultural context, and learning how to work with it responsibly.
Through education, personal practice, and ceremony, students are invited to deepen their awareness of both the medicine and themselves.
This training is offered in two parts so you can choose the level of depth that feels right for you.
You may join for Part 1 only, which focuses on personal practice, or continue into the full training, which includes facilitation skills for serving others.
Part 1: Foundations of Personal Practice (4 weeks virtually)
This portion of the program is dedicated to building a respectful personal relationship with hapé.
Topics include:
• the cultural and ceremonial roots of hapé
• the spirit of mapacho tobacco
• animism and plant medicine philosophy
• sacred use vs spiritual consumerism
• how to self-serve using a kuripe
• preparing ceremonial space
• intention, prayer, and gratitude
• posture, breath, and nervous system awareness
• working through discomfort and emotional release
• creating a personal hapé ritual
Students will practice self-serving and integration exercises throughout the program.
Ania is one of the best facilitators/guides I've ever worked with! She knows her SHIT, and has so much respect for the medicine and the culture/traditions these practices are ciming from. Ania feels like such a safe space and I trust her to help me work through challenging emotions/situations/breakthroughs. It's like she knows exactly what I need before I do sometimes. I would highlyyyyy recommend hiring Ania in any capacity that you're able to. Your life will never be the same.

What makes this training different?
Many Western plant medicine trainings focus primarily on technique, while Indigenous traditions place greater emphasis on relationship with the medicine itself. Both perspectives carry valuable wisdom, but they are rarely taught together.
In this training, we bring those elements into balance.
Students will learn the practical skills needed to work with hapé safely, while also cultivating a deeper understanding of the medicine, the traditions that carry it, and the responsibility that comes with working in ceremonial spaces.
This program emphasizes something deeper than technique alone: relationship and responsibility.
You will learn not only how to work with hapé, but also:
• how to approach the medicine with respect and humility
• how to develop a grounded and intentional ceremonial practice
• how to listen to the medicine rather than trying to control the experience
• how to hold space for others with care, presence, and integrity
• how to recognize the limits of your role as a facilitator
• how to navigate the ethical responsibilities that come with serving plant medicines
Throughout the program we explore what it means to work with hapé in right relationship; with the medicine, with the traditions that carry it, with the people we serve, and with ourselves.
The goal is not simply to teach a skill, but to cultivate conscious stewards of the medicine who approach this work with awareness, humility, and care.
